P.A.T.C.H

When I was very young, my Grandmother had a garden. She would give me my “patch” to work. this memory was rekindled when I read Stone Soup in grade school. If everyone will contribute something in their patch, the person, the family, the neighborhood and city will benefit.

People Attending to Christ's House

The Burrell Brown Foundation. A Non-Profit Corporation.

In Luke 4 :18-19, the Lord Jesus quoted the first two verses of Isaiah 61. His statement “The Lord has Anointed Me ” is the beginning of any great vision and the resulting great work. As a Spirit Filled Christian, we all are Anointed. We all have the same great commission to win souls to the Messiah and the same commandment, to love them. Love is an action verb. God’s demonstration of love was evident when He gave His best to us, His Son Jesus the Messiah. In so doing, he gave us an example to follow – give your best to your brothers in Christ and help relieve their suffering. Serve them, in God’s love, as Christ leads. Everyone does not have the same mission: some are appointed to ministry, some to feed the poor, and others to evangelism.

What do We Do?

P.A.T.C.H is a Judeo-Christian organization, dedicated to helping seniors by partnering with local churches and synagogues to:

1. Identify seniors who are raising grandchildren
2. Identify seniors whose living conditions are detrimental to their health and life safety
3. Prioritize the families who require service
4. Help P.A.T.C.H resolve their needs in order to improve and sustain their health and their quality of life.
5. Develop visitation programs to aid seniors in sustaining their improved quality of life

P.A.T.C.H. People Attending to Christ's House

The name P.A.T.C.H. was derived from an old family tradition. Each family member was given a small patch of a larger garden to work. When everyone faithfully planted, cultivated and harvested their patch, it fed our large, extended family.

Mission Statement

P.A.T.C.H. will continuously aid seniors to access every resource available that will supply their needs, whether through city, county, state, federal agencies, P.A.T.C.H., or other non-profits. Through the prevention and mitigation of health and life safety issues: Medicare costs will be reduced; seniors’ quality of life will be improved; their health be sustained; and, they may safely remain in their homes.

The Christian Principles on Which PATCH is Founded

The main foundation of our faith is that there is only One God: the Father, the Son Jesus the Messiah, and the Holy Spirit. These three comprise the Godhead, who is the only true God. We believe in the Divinity of Jesus the Messiah, born of a virgin, who was crucified and Who rose again on the third day after His crucifixion. He is forever seated in the place of Supreme Authority, at the right Hand of God. We worship no other, pray to no other, appeal to no other, and praise no other God!

1. There is only One true God, who eternally existing in three persons – the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit – each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of Deity.

“Israel’s true King and Kinsman-Redeemer,
Yahweh, Commander of Angel Armies, says:
I am the Beginning and I am the Ending
And I am the only God these is.” Isaiah 44:6

“Come together! Assemble yourselves!
Draw near, you refugees from among the nations.
Those who parade their powerless wooden idols
have no revelation knowledge.
They keep on praying to gods who cannot save them.
Declare what is to be and state your case.
Go ahead and take counsel together.
Who knew all about this and declared it long ago?
Was it not I, Yahweh? There is no God apart from Me.
I am a righteous God and a Savior.
There is no one you can compare to Me. Isaiah 45:20-21

“You shall have no other gods before Me.
“You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. Exodus 20:3-6

2. Jesus Christ the Messiah is God. He is the Living Word and full expression of God and His love. He became flesh through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth. Jesus Christ the Messiah is the Living, Divine Expression of all that God is, in the flesh.

…The angel Gabriel was sent from God’s presence to an unmarried girl named Mary, living in Nazareth, a village in Galilee. She was engaged to a man named Joseph, a true descendant of King David.

Gabriel appeared to her and said, “Grace to you, young woman, for the Lord is with you and so you are anointed with great favor.”

Mary was deeply troubled over the words of the angel and bewildered over what this may mean for her. But the angel reassured her, saying, “Do not yield to your fear, Mary, for the Lord has found delight in you and has chosen to surprise you with a wonderful gift.

You will become pregnant with a baby boy, and you are to name him Jesus. He will be supreme and will be known as the Son of the Highest. And the Lord God will enthrone him as King on his ancestor David’s throne.

He will reign as King of Israel forever, and his reign will have no limit.”
Mary said, “But how could this happen? I am still a virgin!”

Gabriel answered, “The Spirit of Holiness will fall upon you and almighty God will spread his shadow of power over you in a cloud of glory! This is why the child born to you will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God. Luke 11:27-35

This was how Jesus, God’s Anointed One, was born.

His mother, Mary, had promised Joseph to be his wife, but while she was still a virgin she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit. Her fiancé, Joseph, was a righteous man full of integrity and he didn’t want to disgrace her, but when he learned of her pregnancy, he secretly planned to break the engagement.

While he was still debating with himself about what to do, he fell asleep and had a supernatural dream. An angel from the Lord appeared to him in clear light and said, Joseph, descendant of David, don’t hesitate to take Mary into your home as your wife, because the power of the Holy Spirit has conceived a child in her womb. She will give birth to a son and you are to name him ‘Savior,’ for he is destined to give his life to save his people from their sins.”

This happened so that what the Lord spoke through his prophet would come true:
Listen! A virgin will be pregnant, she will give birth to a Son, and he will be known as “Emmanuel,” which means in Hebrew, “God became one of us.” (Isaiah 7:14) Matthew 12:18-23

3. Jesus Christ, the Messiah lived a sinless life and voluntarily atoned for the sins of mankind by dying on the cross as our substitute, thus satisfying God’s divine justice, and accomplishing salvation for all who confess and accept him as their LORD and Savior.

Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,

that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. II Corinthian 5:16-21

So then, we must cling in faith to all we know to be true. For we have a magnificent King-Priest, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who rose into the heavenly realm for us, and now sympathizes with us in our frailty.

He understands humanity, for as a Man, our magnificent King-Priest was tempted in every way just as we are, and conquered sin.

So now we come freely and boldly to where love is enthroned to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the Grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness. Matthew 4:14-16

4. He rose from the dead in the same body, that is now Glorified, in which He lived and died.

Jesus of Nazareth was anointed by God with the Holy Spirit and with great power. He did wonderful things for others and divinely healed all who were under the tyranny of the devil, for God had anointed him.

We apostles were eyewitnesses to all the miracles that he performed throughout the land of Israel. Finally, in Jerusalem, he was crucified on a cross,

but God raised him from the dead three days later, allowing him to be seen openly.

He didn’t appear to everyone, but he appeared to us, his chosen witnesses. He actually ate and drank with us after he rose from the dead! Acts 10:38-41

5. Jesus Christ the Messiah ascended bodily into Heaven and sat down at the Right Hand of God the Father, where He, the only mediator between God and man, continually makes intercession for mankind.

Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.

Who is He who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
Romans 8:33-34

6. The salvation of man is wholly a work of God’s free grace and NOT - in whole or in part – the result of human works, or goodness, or religious ceremony. God imputes His Righteousness to those who put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation, and thereby justified them in His sight.

But no one earns God’s righteousness. It can only be transferred when we no longer rely on our own works; but, believe in the One Who powerfully declares the ungodly to be righteous in His eyes. It is faith that transfers God’s righteousness into your account! Romans 4:5
Let me use Abraham as an example. It is clear that humanly speaking, he was the founder of Judaism. What was his experience of being made right with God? Was it by his good works of keeping the law? No. For if it was by the things he did, he would have something to boast about, but no one boasts before God.
Listen to what the Scriptures say:
Because Abraham believed God’s words, his faith transferred God’s righteousness into his account. (Genesis 15:6)
When people work, they earn wages. It can’t be considered a free gift, because they earned it.
But no one earns God’s righteousness. It can only be transferred when we no longer rely on our own works; but, believe in the one who powerfully declares the ungodly to be righteous in his eyes. It is faith that transfers God’s righteousness into your account! Romans 4:1-5

7. The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, has come into the world to reveal and glorify Jesus Christ the Messiah; and to be our Counselor. He convicts and draws sinners to Christ, imparts new life to them, continually indwells them from the moment of spiritual birth, and seals them until the day of redemption.

And I will ask the Father and he will give you another Savior, the Holy Spirit of Truth, who will be to you a friend just like me—and he will never leave you. The world won’t receive him because they can’t see him or know him. But you will know him intimately, because he will make his home in you and will live inside you. John 14:16-17

…Then, taking a deep breath, He blew on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. John 20:22

But I promise you this—the Holy Spirit will come upon you and you will be filled with power. And you will be my messengers to Jerusalem, throughout Judea, the distant provinces —even to the remotest places on earth!” Acts 1:8

8. Jesus Christ the Messiah is the Head of the Church, His Body, which is composed of all men, living and dead, who have been joined to Him through saving faith.

He is the Head of His body, which is the church. And since He is the beginning and the firstborn heir in resurrection, He is the most exalted One, holding first place in everything. Colossians 1:18

9. At the physical death of a believer, we enter immediately into eternal fellowship with the Lord and we await the resurrection of His body, the Church, to everlasting glory and blessing.

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:7-9

All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing; but, should raise it up at the last day.

And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:37-40

10. According to the Bible, Jesus Christ the Messiah will come again to the earth – personally, visibly and bodily to receive those of the church, who have believed and confessed Christ as Lord.

Don’t worry or surrender to your fear. For you’ve believed in God, now trust and believe in Me also.

My Father’s house has many dwelling places. If it were otherwise, I would tell you plainly, because I go to prepare a place for you to rest.

And when everything is ready, I will come back and take you to myself so that you will be where I am.

And you already know the way to the place where I’m going.” .,..
Jesus explained, “I am the Way, I am the Truth, and I am the Life. No one comes next to the Father except through union with me. To know Me is to know my Father too. John 14:1-6

Then the sign announcing the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn over him. And they will see the Son of Man appearing in the clouds of heaven, revealed with mighty power, great splendor, and glory.

And he will send his messengers with the loud blast of the trumpet, and with a great shout they will gather his beloved chosen ones by the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other!” Matthew 24:30-31

11. Prayer is essential to every Believer’s relationship with the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit. We pray to God the Father and to Jesus Christ the Messiah, in the Name of Jesus Christ the Messiah. We pray to or appeal to no one else.

“I have spoken to you using figurative language, but the time is coming when I will no longer teach you with veiled speech, but I will teach you about the Father with your eyes unveiled. And I will not need to ask the Father on your behalf, for you’ll ask him directly because of your new relationship with me.

For the Father tenderly loves you, because you love me and believe that I’ve come from God. John 16:25-27

“I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows me in faith, believing in me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with my Father!

For I will do whatever you ask me to do when you ask me in my name. And that is how the Son will show what the Father is really like and bring glory to him.

Ask me anything in my name, and I will do it for you! John 14:12-14
